For more than 10 years, we have been bringing beautiful gemstones and meaningful jewellery to life — crafted for generations.
A personal connection to gemstones
From the Gemfields to you
Our story begins in the Central Queensland Gemfields, where we have our own sapphire mine. Loose sapphires from our mine come directly to us, giving us a personal connection to the gemstones we offer and allowing us to share their natural beauty, individuality and Australian origin with our customers.
We also source selected gemstones through reputable and trusted suppliers in Thailand, Sri Lanka and Pakistan, allowing us to offer a broader range of gemstones, colours and qualities with care and personal attention.

J.C. Lindley Gems & Jewellery is a family business shaped by shared passion, personal involvement and a genuine desire to offer customers something special.
We believe jewellery should be more than beautiful. It should mark important moments, express individuality and carry memories for years to come — whether it celebrates a milestone, a loved one, a new beginning or a promise for the future.
Quality from rough stone to finished piece
We believe the quality of a gemstone is shaped not only by its colour and clarity, but also by the way it is cut. Wherever possible, we look for precision-faceted stones with carefully aligned meetpoints, helping bring out each gemstone’s colour, brilliance and natural character.
Although we recognise the place of traditional native-cut designs, our preference is generally for refined faceting that presents each gemstone at its best.
Jewellery with meaning
We created J.C. Lindley Gems & Jewellery to bring beautiful gemstones to customers and transform them into meaningful, lasting pieces. Our collection includes a range of finished jewellery, carefully selected for its quality, design and lasting appeal.
Alongside our finished pieces, we offer natural loose gemstones and custom jewellery options — from Australian sapphires and other precious gemstones to birthstone jewellery, special gifts and bespoke designs.
Growing our gemstone expertise
Our commitment to gemstones continues to grow. I am currently studying to become a gemmologist, deepening my knowledge of gemstone identification, quality, treatments, origins and value. As my qualifications progress, our goal is to work towards offering professional gemstone identification and certified gemmological reports.
We also plan to offer a gemstone identification and cutting service for fossickers and small-scale miners. Through trusted gem-cutting houses in Sri Lanka and Thailand, rough stones can be assessed, identified and carefully faceted into loose gemstones ready for jewellery, collection or resale.
This service will help customers better understand the potential of the gemstones they discover and reveal the possibilities within each rough stone.
